1. Who operates CabinJoin

2. What the service is
CabinJoin is an online marketplace for requesting a place or cabin in an organised yacht trip and for requesting a whole-yacht charter. We provide search, request handling, payment technology, account tools and crew communication. The named organiser or boat owner remains responsible for the trip or yacht service they publish.
A listing is an invitation to make a request, not an automatic promise that a yacht, date, cabin or crew is available. The checkout shows who supplies the service and the applicable operating and cancellation terms before payment.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate information, protect your login and be at least 18 years old. Email confirmation is required. Organisers and boat owners may need identity, business, payout and supply verification before publishing or receiving funds.
You may not create accounts for another person without authority, evade a suspension, scrape private data or use CabinJoin for unlawful activity.
4. Requests, approval and confirmation
A traveller’s request reserves the selected inventory while the request is active. The organiser may approve or decline it under the disclosed trip rules. A charter request remains subject to the owner or supplier confirming the yacht, dates and final price.
A booking becomes confirmed only when the required approval and payment state are both shown in your account. Do not make non-refundable travel arrangements before that confirmation.
5. Prices, fees and payment
Discovery prices may be shown in a currency selected by you. A converted amount is indicative, identifies the NBP reference-rate date and is not the amount you agree to pay. Before any payment obligation, CabinJoin shows the service price, CabinJoin fee, total, actual payment currency, applicable rate and conversion charges. For native marketplace bookings, a Stripe direct charge is created on the connected account of the verified organiser or yacht owner. That seller receives the service price; CabinJoin receives only the separately disclosed platform fee.
For an external supplier listing, CabinJoin does not collect the service principal. Only after supplier confirmation may your account show a supplier-authorised HTTPS payment step; the named supplier is the payment recipient. Never pay through messages or unrecorded details.
6. Cancellations, changes and refunds
The cancellation rules shown for the specific trip or yacht form part of the booking. They may differ by organiser, owner, supplier, date and fare. If those rules conflict with mandatory consumer law, mandatory law prevails.
A pending trip request can be withdrawn from your account before approval. Refunds for paid bookings are returned through the original payment method after the applicable cancellation decision. Date-specific leisure and accommodation services can be exempt from the general 14-day withdrawal right; the checkout identifies the service and terms that apply.
7. Life on board and safety
The skipper’s lawful safety instructions must be followed. You must disclose information that is reasonably necessary for safe participation and arrive with the required documents, licences, insurance and fitness stated in the listing. Weather, harbour authority decisions and safety needs can require route changes.
CabinJoin does not replace the skipper’s navigational judgment or the supplier’s duty to provide a seaworthy yacht and agreed service.
8. Organisers and boat owners
Publishers must have authority over the yacht or a confirmed charter for the published dates, describe the offer accurately, disclose material rules and costs, and keep availability current. False supply, hidden charges, discriminatory rules or attempts to move CabinJoin customers off-platform are prohibited.
Verification or moderation is not an insurance policy or a guarantee of every participant’s conduct.
9. Crew chat and conduct
Crew chat opens only to the organiser, approved participants and authorised CabinJoin staff. Threats, harassment, hate, sexual exploitation, fraud, doxxing and unsafe instructions are prohibited. Messages may be reported, muted or removed, and material actions are recorded for safety and dispute handling.
10. Suspension and service changes
We may limit or suspend an account, listing or booking workflow to protect users, comply with law, investigate fraud or enforce these terms. We will preserve paid-booking rights and communicate material changes when reasonably possible.
11. Liability and complaints
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. CabinJoin is responsible for operating its platform service with reasonable care. The organiser, owner or named supplier is responsible for the yacht trip or charter they contract to provide.
Send complaints to [email protected] with the booking reference and requested resolution. We will acknowledge the complaint and identify the responsible supplier where relevant.
12. Governing law
Polish law governs these terms, without depriving an EU consumer of mandatory protections in their country of residence. Courts competent under mandatory consumer rules retain jurisdiction. If one clause is unenforceable, the remaining clauses continue to apply.
